Tim van Noort
DIRECTOR & HEAD COACH
Tim began his coaching career after moving to Sussex in 1999 and joined Hastings & St Leonard's Priory CC where he also played for the 1st XI in the Sussex Premier League.
He coached and managed the Sussex County Boys Squads for a number of years as well as coaching at a number of clubs, state schools and private schools including Assistant Director of Cricket at Bede's School.
He completed his ECB Level 3 coaching certificate in 2008, and has developed a number of bespoke coaching tools since then.
In 2010 he started Skillz Cricket Academy and built a cricket centre in East Sussex to deliver bespoke coaching sessions.
He has delivered over 20,000 hours of One2One coaching to boys and girls using innovative practice in a fun and challenging environment.
As a player he also represented South Africa at Indoor Cricket playing in 3 World Cups, and his fondest memories include winning the Sussex Premier League, representing the MCC at Lord’s and touring Bermuda, and playing for the Sussex 2nd XI and Board XI.
His proudest moment was winning the Div 4 Sussex League title in 2017 for West Chiltington & Thakeham CC in memory of his friend Tim Monday who sadly passed away during a match that season.
Tim has recently "matured" into an over 50 and ignited a number of old friendships and memories through playing for the Sussex over 50's.

Rob Anderson
MAVRIX COACH
Rob is currently playing and coaching at Bognor CC in the Sussex Premier division. Coaching has been an early passion of his, long before becoming qualified with the ECB in 2012 and is now his full time profession. Rob was an eager volunteer as a teenager at club level and is always on the lookout to promote the next generation of coaches.
Rob spent nearly 20 years playing and coaching for his hometown Epsom CC in Surrey until moving down to the coast in summer 2024, where he has become the Sussex west area pathway coach and U11-12s manager. He has also spent 4 winters at the beautiful North Shore CC in Auckland, New Zealand during our winter off seasons.
Through Rob’s own fast bowling injury history and background in Personal training, he has come to specialise in the biomechanics of bowling and injury prevention and is looking to introduce sessions that focus on the health of our future fast bowlers as we see so many breaking down towards the back end of their development and into professional careers. He is also proof that we can continue to improve, especially as batters, and have goals to represent Sussex and potentially England as he moves towards the over 40’s stage of his career.
When Rob learned about Mavrix and the facilities we can offer, he saw it a perfect opportunity to partner alongside and is really looking forward to offering his experience and services to our growing team.
